Migrants jumped from the building to avoid being caught by the police
In Larnaca, police, acting on a tip that illegal immigrants were living in an apartment building, raided the building yesterday. Three Congolese men reportedly jumped from the building to avoid capture and were injured.
The Fileleftheros newspaper reported that one of the jumpers is in critical condition, while the other two are seriously injured. The newspaper also wrote that panic ensued when police entered the building, and chaos erupted in the block where the illegal immigrants were staying.
