Lightning struck the area where they were having a picnic 3 people were injured
According to the information received, a group of 11 relatives went to the stream near the Aladağ Kartal Forest Depot for a picnic during the Eid al-Adha holiday. They set up a small tent and spent some time there when a sudden heavy rain started. During the rain, lightning struck a tree right next to their tent.
As a result of the lightning strike, Büşra E. (23), Ümit E. (32), and Mustafa A. (42) were injured. Upon notification, medical and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured were given first aid at the scene and then taken to the Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital Köroğlu Unit and the Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that Büşra E.’s condition remains serious.
