Thieves who stole 40 kilos of meat from the back of a pickup truck have been arrested
In Adana, Ümit Öner, accompanied by his friend Coşkun Sürücü on a motorcycle, climbed onto the back of a moving truck loaded with meat and stole 40 kilograms of meat before jumping off. The theft was captured on security camera footage. Two suspects were arrested and subsequently detained.
The incident occurred on May 5th in the Haydaroğlu neighborhood of the Yüreğir district, on Karataş Boulevard. Coşkun Sürücü and his friend Ümit Öner began following a truck with license plate 16 LKC 18, loaded with meat, on a motorcycle. Ümit Öner, sitting on the back of the motorcycle, climbed onto the truck’s cargo bed when it slowed down and stopped. As the truck resumed its journey, Öner stole approximately 40 kilograms of meat, jumped off, and escaped on the motorcycle that was following him. The theft was recorded by a security camera at a nearby business.
Following a report from the truck driver, Bekir Ç., who discovered his meat had been stolen, the Theft Bureau launched an investigation and apprehended the suspects in an operation at their addresses. Coşkun Sürücü and Ümit Öner, who were taken into custody, were arrested by the court after being brought to the courthouse following their procedures at the police station.
