In Adana, one of the hottest cities in Turkey, the temperature being above seasonal norms negatively affects the citizens. The thermometer in Atatürk Park in the central Seyhan district malfunctioned after it showed 39 degrees.
"I saw it at 40 degrees, then I realized it wasn't working"
Azat Erdoğan, who spent time with his friends in the park, stated that the hot weather had reached a sweltering level and said, "We have been outside for about two hours. Normally, I am a brown-haired person, but I have turned completely black in the sun from walking since the morning. The weather is so hot that even birds cannot fly. I saw the thermometer at 40 degrees, but then I realized that it was not working. A person cannot stand it, how can the thermometer be able to endure it? Even the thermometer could not stand it, it was broken. It is really hot."
"I can't imagine what will happen in July and August"
Eren Batman, who spent time in the shade in the park due to the heat, stated that the malfunction of the thermometer revealed the effect of the heat and said, "I came to drink water while walking around the park. I saw that the thermometers were broken due to the heat. If this is already the case, I cannot imagine what will happen in July and August. Especially the elderly and citizens with chronic diseases should not go out in these hot hours unless it is necessary. Even though we are young, we have a hard time."
